New paper now in press at Journal of Individual Differences lead by lab alumni Lizzie Joseph (Now at Texas Christian University) examines the personality determinants of risk preferences using the Big Five facets. In two independent samples, we found the personality profile of a risk taker is extroverted, open to experiences, disagreeable, emotionally stable, and irresponsible. These findings were robust across different measures of the Big Five as well as measures of risk propensity. Read more here.
